About Gail

Gail Corvette
Charleston, South Carolina, United States
Gail's students say her classes are nourishing, positive, playful and intelligently paced. Yoga has led Gail on amazing journey from her head to her heart. She was drawn to her teacher Jackie Prete for her precise alignment cues but soon learned of yoga's teachings in Jackie's classes and her Anusara immersions and 200-hour teacher training. She taught yoga in New York and Hong Kong before following her heart and retiring to her husband David's hometown of Charleston after a 25-year career in human resources consulting. Her Self-inquiry practice has deepened through meditation, yoga philosophy studies, and spiritual programs, including The Sophia Institute and The Sacred Soul Center. It also showed her that yoga's profound impact on her recovery from alcoholism (she has been sober since 1995) is a gift to share with others. As a result, she teaches twice weekly at a rehab center, monthly in a private home and leads retreats. She currently teaches public classes at The Yoga House of Charleston and The MUSC Wellness Center. She teaches Corporate classes with GO Interactive Wellness. She is excited to be on the Longevity Fitness team for its opening in the Fall of 2015.
