Yoga Recovery Meeting
This Sunday at 10 am EST, I am speaking at the weekly Yoga Recovery video meeting on intherooms.com. The topic is "from shame to seva". The meeting will conclude with a 10-minute seated yoga practice. Thanks to Kyzcy Hawk (who leads the S.O.A.R. (Success Over Addiction and Relapse) Teacher Training) for inviting me to share and teach the yoga.

No coincidences
I haven't posted anything in a long time but want to share the latest development with you!
I am honored that Jennie Brooks, the Founder of a new boutique fitness studio that is scheduled to open up this Fall, asked me to teach yoga at the studio. She had taken Anusara Yoga in California and loved it. We met when she took many of my classes here in Charleston.
If I hadn't been preparing to start the Beachbody 21-Day FIX, which helped me realize that 14 years of all yoga, dancing and walking was not keeping my body as fit as it had been, I probably would have said something like, "Ah, I gave up all exercise that doesn't bring me joy (such as high impact aerobics, classes with weights, etc.) the day after September 11, 2001 (which is true--it was a "life's too short" epiphany at Equinox Health Clubs in NYC during one of those classes.) Instead, I said, "Sure, I'll have lunch with you, check out the space and learn more about what you envision." I love Jennie's vision and the space she is creating ...within walking distance of my house! I am excited to be a teacher as well as a student there.
Check it out online (http://longevityfitnesscharleston.com), on Facebook (Longevity Fitness Charleston), on Twitter (Longevity Fitness CHS), on Instagram (longevity_fitness_charleston) and then in person in the Penthouse of 163 Rutledge (at the corner of Doughty, directly across the street from Ashley Hall).
