Save the Date!

Save the Date! Samunnati 2017 is an Anusara School of Hatha Yoga Gathering, Thursday, August 10 through Sunday, August 13, 2017

Location: The Mountain Retreat and Learning Center, Highlands, North Carolina, USA
themountainrlc.org

Can't make it to Samavesha in Italy? The Anusara School of Hatha Yoga is hosting our first Anusara weekend retreat. But in Anusara, we are not retreating! We are moving forward. Which is why we've named these new events Samunnati. "It literally means rising or swelling upward and thus also growth, increase, prosperity, and high position, eminence, exaltation. In a spiritual context it refers to an inner sense of elevation," according to Sanskrit scholar Bill Mahony.

So how fitting that we hosting our first Samunnati in the mountains! Join Anusara-certified teachers Denise Stottmann (from Louisville KY) and Gail Corvette (from Charleston SC). We will have a long asana practice twice a day, a daily hike, morning meditations and evening Satsangs. CEU credit available for Anusara license renewal and advancement as well as Yoga Alliance. Students interested in learning more about Anusara yoga are welcome. No experience necessary!

Reverb opening in early 2017

I am thrilled to be joining the team Ashley Bell is putting together for her new space on the Upper Peninsula. Check out the concept here.

The schedule is being finalized...so continue to watch this space...I am thinking of 2 p.m. Monday for a 50+ class and Thursdays at 7 p.m. for a class for people recovering from addictions.

Namaste, y'all!

Schedule changes

I was so honored to be asked to join The Yoga House of Charleston when it opened 4-1/2 years ago. Sadly, it just closed. I hope to see the wonderful yogis and yoginis I had the privilege to get to know at The Yoga House continue to practice with me.

Yoga Recovery Meeting

This Sunday at 10 am EST, I am speaking at the weekly Yoga Recovery video meeting on intherooms.com. The topic is "from shame to seva". The meeting will conclude with a 10-minute seated yoga practice. Thanks to Kyzcy Hawk (who leads the S.O.A.R. (Success Over Addiction and Relapse) Teacher Training) for inviting me to share and teach the yoga.
